Conductor says its cloud service will become read-only on November 13, 2026, and shut down on November 20, when it will begin deleting cloud user data. The deadlines follow the coding tool company’s November 4 announcement that it is joining Meta. For developers with hosted workspaces, the immediate issue is preserving work and chat history before access changes.
Two dates for cloud workspaces
According to Conductor’s published transition timeline, cloud workspaces remain accessible for reading and export after November 13, but users will no longer be able to send new messages. On November 20, the cloud service closes and the company says deletion of cloud user data will begin. These are company-stated plans, not an independently tested shutdown.
Conductor also says it stopped new sign-ups and app downloads on November 4. Existing users can continue using the product during the transition. The company says active subscribers will receive refunds.
Transfer a workspace or export an archive
For a cloud workspace and its chats, Conductor instructs Mac users to right-click the workspace and select “Transfer to local.” Its separate full-data route is Settings → Account → Export data. The 0.93.0 changelog repeats both paths and the cloud deadlines.
Those options serve different needs: a local workspace may support continued work in the Mac app, while a full-data export provides a separate archive. The company’s announcement does not specify the archive format or guarantee that every integration and setting transfers. Users who depend on a particular workspace should check the result after transfer or export, rather than assume the operation preserved everything. This is practical advice, not a claim that Conductor’s migration loses data.
What remains after November 20
Conductor says its local app will continue receiving new models and critical bug fixes until early 2027. It also says the local product will start winding down then. The company hopes to offer something new early next year, but has not provided a detailed release, migration, or support commitment for that future product.
The distinction is important: November 20 is the cloud shutdown date, not a stated shutdown date for the local Mac app. For current cloud users, the documented next step is to transfer needed workspaces or export data before November 20 and confirm the files or chats they need are available.
